Wyckoff police apprehended two 16 year olds in a stolen car at the Cedar Hill Shopping Center.

On Saturday, April 4 at around 5:30 p.m., Sgt. Jack McEwan of the Wyckoff Police Department observed a suspicious car in the shopping center's parking lot. A computer check on the license plate revealed that the vehicle, a 2001 BMW, had reportedly been stolen five days earlier from Clarkstown, New York.

The driver was a 16-year-old boy from Nanuet, and he was accompanied by a 16-year-old Wyckoff girl. Both were taken into custody.

Police investigation led to charges against the boy for possession of stolen property and altering a New York State registration certificate. He was released to a parent, and complaints have been filed with Bergen County Juvenile Court.
