Wallington firefighters were called to Passaic on Nov. 13 to help battle a huge fire on Broadway. Two buildings were destroyed but the damage to other buildings was kept to a minimum.

Wallington mayor fights FEMA's assessment of damage to shore home

Mayor Walter Wargacki says his vacation home in Ocean County sustained approximately $450,000 in damage from Superstorm Sandy. But according to a lawsuit filed last week, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, with which he has a $250,000 flood insurance policy, put the damage at $88,881 after the deductible.
