River Edge man charged with assaulting 13 year old

RIVER EDGE, NJ - The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office today announced the arrest of Yoon Park, 53, of River Edge, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault.

First Assistant Prosecutor William Galda stated that the arrest came about as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro, and the River Edge Police Department under the direction of Chief Tom Cariddi.

A driver for a Secaucus limousine company, Park was arrested on Tuesday, April 8 for allegedly physically assaulting a 13-year-old victim.

Park has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree crime, and one count of simple assault, a disorderly persons offense.

 

Bail was set by Judge Lois Lipton at $35,000 with no 10% option. As a condition of bail, Park is to have no contact with the victim.
