WEST TRENTON, NJ - On Thursday, the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management announced that on Wednesday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. EST, the federal government will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The test will last up to three and a half minutes.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management is reminding Garden State residents and visitors to sign up for NJ Alert, the State's mass text and email emergency notification system.
