Lyndhurst Police warn residents of recent daytime burglaries

Clinton Terrace in Lyndhurst, New JerseyA message from the Lyndhurst Police Department: "We regret to inform you that two daytime burglaries had been committed this month on Jay Avenue and Clinton Terrace between June 1st-9th. Our Patrol Division has been alerted and our Detective Bureau is investigating the case.

"We believe, however that you have the right to know about the crime so that you can take additional precautions to protect your own property.

"We also need your help. Please notify the Police Desk immediately (201-939-2900) if you observe any suspicious persons, cars or activities on your street. Our patrols will respond promptly to investigate.

"If you have any direct information about who may have committed the crime, please do not hesitate to contact us. The Detectives assigned to these cases are Detective Sergeant John Mazure ext 274 and Detective Ronald Guirland, he can be reached at ext. 355.

"If you have information, but wish to remain anonymous, you can leave a message on our anonymous tip hotline at
(201) 804-9346. The anonymous tip hotline is a dedicated line that is NOT equipped with caller ID. Please keep in mind that if something requires immediate attention please call us direct or dial 9-1-1.

"Residential burglary is a serious crime. Citizens and the Police need to work together to solve a crime of this nature. Thank you for your help."
