Cliffside Park man charged with sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl

CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ - The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of a Cliffside Park man on Monday, on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Belvis Matias Gonzalez-Rozales, 22, of Anderson Avenue in Cliffside Park, was arrested as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Squad, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro, and the Fairview Police Department, under the direction of Chief John Pinzone.

According to authorities, on Sunday, a 14-year-old girl disclosed to detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Fairview Police Department that Gonzalez-Rozales engaged in sexual intercourse and oral sex with her on several occasions. The incidents allegedly took place in Fairview from December 2008 to April 2009.

Bail was set by Judge John Langan at $175,000.00 with no 10% cash option, and no contact with the victim or her family. Gonzalez-Rozales is scheduled to be arraigned today, Wednesday, April 8, at 4:00 p.m.
