Police car hits building, Carlstadt officer injured

CARLSTADT, NJ - A Carlstadt police officer was injured last night when his patrol car struck a building, according to police.

The unidentified officer's vehicle reportedly hit the wall of a building at Broad Street and Hackensack Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday night, April 13. The officer was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for observation. His injuiries are reported as being minor.

The accident is being investigated by the Carlstadt Police Department's traffic bureau, authorities say.
