VERISMO OPERA LAUNCHES KEEP THE ARTS ACCESSIBLE

The NJ Association of Verismo Opera implements a new initiative and announces special discount ticket rates for children, seniors and groups.

The NJ Association of Verismo Opera, a professional performing arts treasure headquartered in Fort Lee, New Jersey, is implementing the Keeping the Arts Accessible initiative to make the art form available and affordable for children, families, seniors, and the general public.  For over 20 years, the nonprofit opera company has brought grand productions to theatres and performed concerts throughout the region.

“We want to introduce children to this art form and give extended families, senior citizens, and individuals the opportunity to experience the thrill of seeing grand, verismo opera performed as the composers intended.  Our goal is to make opera performances and productions accessible and affordable to more people with this initiative,” said Met Opera luminary Lucine Amara, Artistic Director of Verismo Opera.

 

Two special discount ticket offers are available only six days in March and April to see on April 21 Verismo Opera’s premiere of Giacomo Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and the company’s new production of Ruggero Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci at 3:00 p.m. at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.

 

The company is offering 35% off on March 7, 8, and 9 (code PS2) and 30% off on April 4, 5, and 6 (code PS3) on tickets priced $55 and $45 only.  These special discount ticket offers may be purchased online at the Bergen Performing Arts Center’s web site or in person at the bergenPAC. 

 

The bergenPAC box office is open from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  For further information, call (201) 227-1030 or toll free at 1-888-PACSHOW.

 

Verismo Opera continues its tradition of introducing and educating youngsters about the joy of fine music and keeping the arts affordable for senior citizens.  The company has established a reduced ticket rate of $10 for children, ages 12 and under, to see Gianni Schicchi and I PagliacciSenior citizens, ages 65 and over, purchasing regular-priced tickets on non-sale dates are entitled to a 10% discount.  For further information about the special discounted children’s or senior discount tickets, call (201) 227-1030 or toll free 1-888-PACSHOW.

 

Group discounts are available on $55 and $45 tickets only with a minimum purchase of ten tickets.  Call Verismo Opera at 201-224-2809 for further information about the group discount rate.  This rate is not available online.

 

Regularly priced tickets may be purchased at any time online at the bergenPAC's web site, through the bergenPAC box office, and by calling (201) 227-1030 or toll-free at 1-888-PACSHOW.
